Debra Hoffman obtained an Associate in Arts Degree in Business Administration degree in May of 1973. She is active in the Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina, Society of CIC, Insurance Women of North Carolina (Past State Officer), and Gaston Cleveland Assoc. of Insurance Women (Past President). Debra is the Principal Clarinet and Concert master for the Gaston Symphonic Band and has held this position for the last 16 years. She is a member of Lutheran Chapel Church.

Debra has received several insurance awards. She received Insurance Women of the year, earned her CIC Designation (1989), Certificate of General Insurance (1983), and CPIW (1984).

She enjoys playing music with her Church and the Symphonic band and spending time with her family. After finishing college she was hired by Watson Insurance Agency, Inc. as a file clerk.

She has moved up from the bottom working as a personal lines agent, commercial lines small accounts agent, commercial lines account manager, and have been for the last 11 plus years the Information Technology manager. She has worked for one company after college, Watson Insurance Agency, Inc., for 36 years.
